This
intensive is designed for those going up
for assessment in either 2015 or 2016
We will be
working with teaching skills including the teaching format and
principles of B.K.S. Iyengar in order to safely teach and conduct an
intermediate class and help
prepare for the certification process.
We will primarily
be working with Observation and Correction, including adjustments of
the Intermediate asanas. This is often the weakest link in any
assessment level. We will review pranayama set ups, what is
expected at these higher levels of pranayama and have an hour and a half
practice of a sampling of the Intermediate poses. There will be mock assessments scheduled and each participant will be
requested to present an aspect of philosophy from their syllabus during
the brown bag lunch.
[NOTE:
The morning asana practice is open to all practitioners at $35 per
session.]
